This project is located in Lagos, Nigeria, and our company was commissioned by LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT to be responsible for the pile foundation construction of this project.
The project started on March 27, 2022 and was completed on November 4, 2022, which lasted 223 days and met the requirements of the owner for the construction period. The diameter of the piles is 900 mm and 1,200 mm, of which more than 300 piles with a diameter of 900 mm and a length of 37-41 m were completed, and more than 10 piles with a diameter of 1,200 mm and a length of 39-41 m were completed, with a concrete strength grade of C30.
The pile bearing capacity of this project is tested by static load method for 4 piles, and the proportion of pile bearing capacity testing is 1%. The test results show that the single pile vertical bearing capacity of the tested piles all meet the design requirements. Pile integrity is tested by low strain method, the testing ratio is 100%, all qualified. And in the construction, we have summarized some construction techniques of rotary drilling in coastal areas, which can provide reference for the subsequent construction of similar projects.
During the construction process, we strictly abided by the regulations and rules issued by the owner regarding the civilized construction of the local area and its group companies, did a good job in civilized construction and environmental protection to meet the requirements of the local government and the owner for civilized construction and environment, and cooperated with the owner to clean up the site after the construction was completed. During the construction process, the safety and civilized construction management, quality management and construction progress control have been unanimously praised by the owner and the consulting company.
