The project is located in Jiangdong New District, Haikou City, Hainan Province. Commissioned by Haikou Jiangdong New Area Infrastructure Construction Co., Ltd, our company undertook the geotechnical investigation of the project.
This project has a total of 1 new road, west from Binjiang East Road (planning road), east to Haiwen North Road (planning road), the total design length is 3,031.44 m. Road grade is urban main road with design speed of 60 km/h.
The surface layer along the proposed road includes fill, sandy soil and clayey soil, and the overlying powder clay containing shell debris of the tertiary system. The investigation carried out data collection, soil drilling, indoor geotechnical tests, and combined with standard penetration test, single-hole wave velocity test and other in situ testing. Geotechnical test items include water content test, boundary water content test, specific gravity test, sensitivity, organic matter content, soil and water corrosion test, etc. Through field drilling and indoor tests, the spatial distribution range of the foundation soil along the proposed road and the physical and mechanical parameters of each soil layer were found out.
The survey report evaluated the seismic effect and foundation soil uniformity along the road, provided the geotechnical parameters required for geotechnical engineering, proposed treatment measures for the problem of severe liquefaction of saturated sandy soil, analyzed and evaluated the bridge pile foundation bearing layer selection and pile feasibility, and made reasonable suggestions for the foundation plan, pit excavation and support plan.
The project started from April 18, 2021 to May 5, 2021, with a total exploration workload of about 3,421.0 m completed. During the construction process, the project quality, safety and environmental management were strictly controlled, and the survey tasks were completed efficiently, and the submitted survey results passed and were reviewed by local review agencies.
