This project is located in Zhuguantun Village, Dahuangzhuang Town, Huailai County. Entrusted by the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Huailai County, our company carried out a detailed investigation of hydrogeology.
The hydrogeological conditions in the project area are complex, the target layer of water source exploitation is deep confined water with large aquifer thickness, water-rich, stable water quality, better recharge and runoff conditions, and the confined water head is 3-5m abouve the ground, which is rare in the water-scarce northern region. The water source wells are centrally arranged in the courtyard of the original water source wells, making full use of the existing water supply pipelines and water source locations, that is, avoiding water competition with local agriculture, and saving a lot of construction costs and scarce land resources, with remarkable economic and social benefits.
The project lasted from November 23, 2020 to October 30, 2021, lasting 11 months. We mainly completed 1:50,000 hydrogeological survey of 600 km2. Using transient electromagnetic method, high-density electric method and excitation method, etc., we determined that the target layer of the water source area is the confined water of the third aquifer group of the quaternary system. Additionally, we drilled 7 exploration and mining wells; conducted 7 groups of single-hole pumping tests with observation holes, 1 group of group hole pumping tests (7 pumping wells), 56 pieces of water quality analysis, and constructed 10 dynamic observation holes of groundwater level, and the evaluated the allowable amount (5×104 m3/d) of groundwater extraction at the water source. The survey results of this project meet the accuracy requirements of the " Standard for Hydrogeological Investigation of Water-supply" Grade C accuracy, and successfully pass the expert review of the owner's organization.
