The pile foundation construction of Yangjiang LNG receiving station is located in Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, which is invested by Guangdong Yangjiang Hailing Bay LNG Ltd., Co. A total of 1,690 pipe piles were completed for the project, including 1,668 PHC500 AB 125 piles and 22 PHC300 AB 70 piles.
The pile foundation construction started on April 22, 2022 and completed on April 23, 2023, which lasted 367 days. During the construction, the in-hole camera was fully utilized instead of the traditional light inspection to observe the integrity of the pile body after piling, and the inspection results were more clear and intuitive to ensure the quality of the pile body. At the same time, integrated pencil-type piles were used in large quantities to increase the construction efficiency and the penetration of PHC piles in the sand layer to ensure the construction efficiency.
After third-party testing, all PHC piles have qualified bearing capacity and excellent project quality, which has achieved good social and economic benefits.
