Entrusted by Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., our company undertook the pile foundation project of cryogenic ethane 2# storage tank of Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. Construction began on 16 November 2021, lasted 55 days and was completed on 9 January 2022, 15 days ahead of the contract period. The completed work includes T-002 cryogenic ethane storage tank pile foundation construction, surveying and setting out, slurry preparation, drilling, steel cage processing and installation, concrete pouring, short column steel bar bending, post-grouting and other construction contents. A total of 437 piles were completed, including 184 piles with a depth of not less than 67.00m into the soil and 1.65m high short columns above ground, and 253 piles with a depth of not less than 66.50m into the soil and 1.85m high short columns above ground, with C40 P10 pile concrete.
During the construction process, the project was carefully organized, strived for perfection, actively applied automatic, intelligent and informative construction techniques and technical achievements, strictly implemented construction organization design, specification design requirements and relevant regulations and standards, improved construction efficiency, ensured project quality, and successfully completed all construction tasks. After comprehensive acceptance by the owner, supervisors, designers and investigators, the overall quality of the project was assessed as qualified. Pile foundation test results qualified rate of 100%, including 437 piles for low strain testing, all qualified; 44 piles for acoustic transmission method testing, all qualified; 5 piles for single pile vertical compressive static load testing, single pile vertical compressive bearing capacity limit value of 18,000KN, meeting the design requirements; 5 piles for single pile water calm load testing, single pile horizontal loading amount of 500KN, meeting the design requirements.
No safety and quality accidents occurred during the whole construction process, the project quality was excellent, HSE management was under control, the progress met the requirements, and all indicators met the contract requirements, which was highly recognized and praised by the supervisor and the owner, and received a letter of commendation from the owner, which laid a solid foundation for the subsequent cooperation with Lianyungang Petrochemical Co.
