This project is located in Luanzhou City. Commissioned by the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Luan County, we have carried out hydrogeological census, detailed investigation and water resources demonstration, mainly completing 1:50,000 hydrogeological mapping of 1,162 km2. We used transient electromagnetic method, high-density electrical method and excitation method, etc., to select and determine the scope and location of the new water source and alternate water source. A total of 15 exploration wells have been constructed, 15 single hole pumping tests and 1 group hole pumping test were carried out, 89 water quality analyses were carried out, 11 groundwater level dynamic observation holes were constructed to evaluate the allowable extraction capacity of the new water source of 4×104 m3/d.
The project is located in the upper part of the alluvial fan of the Luan River, superimposed by multiple alluvial fans, the regional hydrogeological conditions are complex. The water source is near the river, the flow and water level of the Luan River are unstable, and it is difficult to calculate the amount of recharge by seepage from the Luan River channel. The water source wells are centrally located in the water-rich zone, with large water output and close well distance, which shortens the length of the water supply pipe and the road between wells, with remarkable economic and social benefits.
The project started on July 6, 2018 and completed on August 9, 2021, lasting 37 months. The survey results meet the C-level accuracy requirements of "Standard for Hydrogeological Investigation of Water-supply"; the " Report" meets the requirements of "Guidelines for Assessment of Water-draw and Utilization in Construction Projects of Water Resources and Hydropower", as reviewed by experts organized by the Hebei Provincial Water Resources Department.
