In May of early summer, the fragrance of flowers was overflowing. In this beautiful time full of hope, the 2023 "CHCI Cup" table tennis competition officially kicked off.
After the notice of the competition was issued, the management departments, all companies and project departments responded, and nearly 50 projects organized wonderful and intense selection matches to promote outstanding players for the official competition.
On May 4, in the strong and warm atmosphere of the Youth Festival, with the order of the referee, the official match started immediately. There were 9 teams in the tournament, which were divided into 3 groups by lottery, with 5 players per team, and played in the order of men's doubles, men's singles and men's doubles. The competition system is divided into group round robin, breakout and top-four elimination matches.
In the group round robin, the 3 teams were assigned together by lottery, with different levels. Before the match, the team leaders will carefully arrange the formation and formulate the countermeasures, the weak team is calm and composed in the face of pressure, and the strong team does not dare to take it lightly. Finally, the Foundation Construction Company team, the Design Company and Trading Company Joint Team and the Surveying Company team came out as the first team.
The breakout match was a competition between the three teams ranked second in each group. There was not much difference in the technical level of the teams, but more of a contest of composure and patience of the players, and the scores of both sides were tied several times. The cheerleaders on the sidelines focused on the small table tennis ball, their expressions were sometimes smiling, sometimes anxious, and in a burst of applause, the Underground Construction Company team successfully broke through and advanced to the top four.
The top four elimination matches are full of tension, and can be described as a strong duel, each point of the players determine the whole team's victory or defeat. Although each player's skill is remarkable, but this time the fight is not only technical, but also psychological. Finally, the Underground Construction Company team won the third place over the Surveying Company team.
In the competition for the champion, the joint team of Design Company and Trading Company took on the previous champion of Foundation Construction Company, and the players of both teams showed their superb technical level, which made the audiences feast their eyes and applaud. In the end, the joint team of Design Company and Trading Company won the championship with more stable play and became the biggest dark horse of the competition. The Foundation Construction Company team won the second place.
The competition was interspersed with a friendly match of women's singles, in which Guo Lin and Zhao Li of the Foundation Construction Company won the first and second place.
The game came to an end in the end of the day.
